PS

I think you guys are too cynical and too hard on Jefferson for the wrong reasons.

He was totally unprepared for the punch and obviously went down awkwardly on his left leg. You get 235 pounds torquing down on an unprepared leg and bad things happen. It happens all the time in football and hockey. Someone gets their foot stuck on the turf as they're hit and they blow a knee or an ankle. Ditto for hockey when you catch an edge just as you're hit.

Look at Grant. I heard he had knee surgery this week for the awkward way he landed against Lewis. These guys are so big, that you are going to see more of these kinds of injuries.

I think Jefferson's problem is that he uses his heart too much and his head too little. You shouldn't get caught unprepared like that in the first round. At thirt two or whatever his days are numbered if he doesn't do a bit more thinking.

Even though it was a disapointing night, you're right on about it still being better than a good night of skating.
