The press has reported they have reliable sources confirming the existence of the strategy, (PC Welt and the Register). The reports haven't been denied, but labeled "speculation". But more importantly, I think a company that requires a new device to support the enormous expenditures on their own new technology would be remiss if they didn't have a back up strategy in place. Obviously they'd prefer it won't be required, and thus will try to keep it a secret. (But in the information age of the Internet this isn't easy). JMHO's
