How come I haven't gotten a proxy in the mail? And did anyone else get this, "Don't ask me, I only work here," response from the SEC? Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

Dear Seagate Investor,

Thank you for your comments to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

While we understand your concerns, we must inform you that the SEC does not have jurisdiction to pass upon the merits or the fairness of a company's merger. The SEC's role is to ensure that corporate actions are disclosed fully, accurately and timely in the company's filings.

Questions regarding mergers or acquisitions are generally governed by the provisions of state law.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to inform us of your views.

Sincerely yours,
