Mike,

How come I haven't gotten a proxy in the mail? And did anyone else get this, "Don't ask
me, I only work here," response from the SEC? Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

Not surprising. I thought that the SEC would prove to be a dead end. The SEC doesn't care if Seagate management cuts itself a sweetheart deal as long as all the "I"s are dotted and "T"s are crossed. You can bet that Luczo and his team were very careful in these matters.

I don't suppose the private lawsuits will be any more effective. The only way to stop this will be for a the shareholders to turn it down. If they don't then management cannot be sued for buying something that the owners agreed to sell to them.

Will the proposal pass? I still think it will.

Every day we get more evidence that Seagate's core business is more and more valuable. The latest evidence being IBM's problems in the 10K drives. I'll bet management is counting the days until they can ride off free and clear with their booty.
