Timna ain't shipping with Rambus though, not this year anyway. When, exactly, RIMMs will make sense in a low end PC is a very open question. Willy is shipping maybe "hundreds of thousands" this year. It's cool for Rambus that Intel is going to be shipping all those replacement boards with RIMMs, it might double their PC market for the year, but that's a one shot deal.

Blake- I'm running an Asus i820 P3C2000 with PC100 SDRAM and I haven't experienced any problems running WIN2000.
According to Asus the few problems they've encountered have been traced to faulty memory or power supply.
