Carl,

I see that you have been working diligently to disprove everything. Unfortunately, your posts lack the trenchant proof that leads to credibility.

We have been through the power drill before. Rambus needs have only one RDRAM component active whereas SDRAM and DDR requires an array of SDRAM chips to be active during an access. So while an individual RDRAM chip draws more power than an individual SDRAM, the RDRAM RIMM draws less power than the SDRAM DIMM. It looks like about 2 to 1 in favor of the RDRAM.

All this stuff about the thermistor is inconclusive.

But all this engineering gobble-d-gook is not important.
What is important is the number of new RDRAM systems introduced to the market this Monday. These are performance PC systems being sold by the top five PC OEMS. Ca-ching....

:)
