Thomas,

I've been lurking here for some time and am pretty envious. I understand that your motto is to keep it simple but i have a few questions that may breach this. Has anyone attempted to use the MACD at all? I've been observing the 5-8 hourly MACD (uses two ema's), with an 8 period moving average of the difference between the 5 and 8 period ema's. I think it can be a pretty useful signal to use along side the crossovers. Also, has anyone looked into what effect a preceding 60 min bar can have on the crossover signal? For example, are the crossover signals more successful when they follow a relatively large bar or a small one? I've been trying to implement this method for slightly less volatile, more liquid tech stocks and use it to swing trade options, so my approach is a little different, but its still based on Thomas's 5-8, 60 min.

thanks,
rkd
