I'll ignor all the Netcraft stats because they are not relevant. I'll say it again. SUNW isn't worried about M$FT, and doesn't need to be worried. W2K is a piece of 32-bit junk. As for the "security" settings on Windows, don't make me laugh. The file system is no more secure than CPM was. The end user's data is wide open and even more accessible if they use IE because M$FT was stupid enough to put it right into the O/S, an obvious security breech. However, the more important point I'm going to make to you is this: with the pending release of all sorts of internet appliances, customers aren't going to be interested in M$FT's latest fall-back excuse for security. Thin clients are more secure BY DEFINITION, so they will become the internet-device-of-choice. All the configuration options that M$FT engineers can come up with won't amount to a drop in the bucket compared to thin clients and the price-reliability-security they provide.
