Well JFK took Cuba away from the Miami Cubans and gave it Castro. What's your beef with them?

"Do you really hope they are successful?"

After Castro is gone there will be a vortex, Castro is an enigma and no Cuban will be happy with less than the legend. Cubans have been conditioned for generations, they need a generalissimo. Cuba will never have a leader that the Miamiites or the U.S. is comfortable with.

The fuss over Elian is an attempt to make peace with the average Cuban so they feel America is on their side.
