JRI, The reason I am bearish is because I believe that CSCO, ORCL, INTC and GE just for starters are way over valued. I believe that these stocks will fall through the summer and the market with it. I think the slowing economy, interest rates combined with parts shortages and unreasonable expectations will lead these stocks lower. I think they should fall back to complete a head and shoulders from a charting perspective. I think the NASDAQ will do the same. We will bounce here and bounce there and I play accordingly. When the market turned today and they talked about the china deal helping semi's it was a gimmie to buy some of the beaten up ones. CREE and TQNT went really well. TQNT had news as well so I was quite confident going long it for the afternoon. As well, AETH had some upgrades and a cell phone bill payment PR so I was happy to grab a bit of that for a pop. I think we could run up for the rest of the week. I do agree that being short this market at this level is risky. I also think being long is just as risky. That's why I go home in cash. My clearing house gives me 4.5% daily interest on the cash in my account and that's good enough for me to sleep on. I get to play with my money during the day and as long as I go home flat I get 4.5 interest. Not bad eh? (southwest securities if you are interested) Until I see a completed head and shoulders on the big caps I will remain in cash nightly. Besides it does seem like we are going to just bounce around until the fall so I can make way more just playing daily. Bambs
