Re: parts shortages

I'd just like to point out that "part shortages", as I understand it, means, we there is a chance that CSCO can't make enough to satisfy customer demand on certain products. Imagine what the analysts would have said if Chambers had said "excess inventory".

If this is the case, it would seem to be as much a bullish thing for earnings (and profit margins, etc) (not stock price) than a bearish one.

I agree that bouncing around looks like a the game for now, but waiting for "the fall" or the "the rise", no matter how Irrationally Exuberent that might seem to some people, might be equally probable. Perhaps not. :) I mean, everybody is looking for a big fall because of the mania, but isn't another mania fairly likely? Hopefully, a little more calm predictable, rise (and not Jan-March), but I think this seems at least as likely as the 20's. :)

Lastly, Monty picked 200 DMA before new high. Obviously, that was a good call. Anybody want to call 52 week low before new high? (that's 26 today, but of course it will be going up quickly) It would be a long call (I HOPE), but at this point would appear to be at least 50/50. Happy thoughts indeed. (not).
