the put/call ratio was still very low today even when the market was near its lows. That tells me that even after all the declines of late people remain very bullish. People are still very quick to turn bullish. There is no fear in the market. That is not typically the kind of mood you get at market bottoms."

My next move? Short the coming rally.

That's what I learned too, but these are trying times! I kid my friends that my investment in CSCO in 1993, if I didn't sell it, would have me now owning the Bahamas....

PS: You and I have been on the early adopter curve for a long time now. I am not going to let anything deter my thinking in these matters. We have found and invested in stuff that has turned out to be profitable. The hard part in some cases was that we were way too early.

ADSL in 1996? Remember the debates on CAP vs DMT?
Opticals in 1997? When JDSU was UNPH?

Let's keep looking for the next homerun.
