Kilo_Watt:

Really. Interesting story especially if true.

My personal wish list would be Oracle. I would love to see Ellison and the Oracle marketing machine get their hands on the NOVL technology and continue their tapdance on MSFT.

Another thought...Since directory and caching apps are at the critical juncture of the internet why couldn't NOVL issue a tracking stock using those two technologies. They could then use the proceeds to buy back NOVL stock.

And finally does anyone have a current list of the largest institutional shareholders of NOVL? Or would it have changed so much during the past 30 days it would be impossible to track?

Don T.

Lucent is my choice....

>>Here's my wild-assed guess: if anybody was gonna buy NOVL, it might be LU. Think about that. Then again, why would NOVL want to be bought? Don't say marketing; that's the kneejerk answer.>>

I have firsthand, direct knowledge that a very long term, major strategic relationship has been going on and evolving between Novell and Lucent - at least for the past 2+ years.

I cannot comment on the source, but it's based here in Chicago.

Peace.

GO!!

Kilo,

With all due repect, I think you are possibly deceiving us on this board as I dont think you are an employee of Novell. I initially thought you might be Novell Management who has been given some endorsement by management to speak to the SI hord, but you last posting about Novell acquisition rumours combined with your private email address on SI lead me to think that you cannot be a Novell employee.

I still enjoy reading your posts and I encourage you to continue to contribute, but I now have put your postings into perspective of how much inside information you really have in Novell.

I might be wrong but I dont think so.

Cheers!
