I'm afraid that you are losing me. There is no compelling reason to believe that consciousness arises out of matter. For reasons that I have stated, I do not believe that our interior experience of the "I" can be true if one supposes that it does. Now, it is entirely possible that we could have an illusory sense of selfhood arising from matter, and it is clear that our bodies are a conduit of a great deal of the material that we are aware of, through the senses. Still, that does not address the points that I have already made........
