Joe re <<Who designs these boards, OEMs like Gateway, or do they license designs from some of the known motherboard companies?>>

I don't know.

I would think that they license the design from one of the mother board makers, I can't imagine either GTW or JBL designing and testing the boards.

I love to know for sure if someone knows the answer.

Joe,

I always thought it was the OEMS like GTW but I am not sure. I can't imagine the mobo makers would give up a design to a company like Jabil....even if licensing fees were to be paid. Typically the OEM contracts directly with them.

Does anyone else know for sure?

Joe,

The oems typically provide the design to the contract oems.

However they may well be using an AMD design.
