More Trivia....... A man named Leofric, Lord of Coventry, imposed horrendous taxes on his people. His wife, Lady Godiva, appealed to him time and time again to lower the tax burden. Finally, Leofric agreed to grant her request if she would ride naked through the town. She agreed and issued a proclamation to the town requesting everyone to stay indoors with their shutters closed as she rode through town. Everyone agreed. But a tailor named Tom drilled a hole in his shutter so that he could get a look at her. That is why today we have "Peeping Toms".
