RUN UP? gg

Sorry to take so long to respond but I wanted to talk to Berney first and compare #s. We agree that we should go up next week, looks like a little selling at the start and then up into the last of the week. You be da man with the dates, so I look to your chicken bones to tell us the "when" part.

Like always there are some pregnant points. Berney prefers to look at the S&P 500 vs OEX but the same points are on OEX. So yes we think up is the direction of choice but the real question is where do we stop! The stopping point will likely define the strength of the rally. If we stop at 1420 (OEX 763) this spells a weak market and there is a good chance that we will go down sharply. On the other hand if we go to 1450 (OEX 790)I would consider this normal and we went to the other side and will come back down into the 730 (OEX) area and make another run up and try to break to the upside. If it were really behaving well it would just come back down to the 750 area and go up for a break out. And yes, by 6/12 we "run out of room at the Inn" and it will have to make a decision, and at that point I would probably vote for a significant up swing, but who knows. Pretty scarey that TB and I came up with the same points hugh? ggg

In my mind things are beginning to line up for a recession? I put a lot of emphasis on $30/barrel, Berney says bs, he says a drop of 6% in durable goods is not Good. Take your pick, but I wonder how long until the gurus begin to talk about Big Al going too far and putting us into a flat spin (airplane talk). People talk about a soft landing, hugh? I'm not convinced that they know how to fly the airplane, let alone bring it in for a soft landing.

In my humble opinion Big Als' grand experiment has gone wrong and we are the folks that will have to pay for it.

ENUF of the crystall balling (bawling), I will just play it two days at a time. Two at a time because I have the EOD stuff to contend with on MAG. If it were not for that both Berney and I tend to wake up and take it one day at a time.

Good luck next week and keep a sharp look out for U turns.
