I guess I missed the details of the DDI deal. I've seen some unfounded speculation about it, but if you could point out the definitive post I'd appreciate it.

QCOM's desperation was obvious. Their own network in Japan. LOL! Of course there is no public announcement of the terms of the deal. But if you expect a catalogue raisonee for every factoid that matters to a stock, you will be behind the curve. I don't think it is a tremendous leap of faith to speculate that QCOM did not get the best of terms, given the 11th-hour nature of the deal. JMHO

DDI totally dissed them in public.

Again I must have missed that.

What I refer to here is simply the leaks DDI made stating that they might go with W-CDMA. I interpret this as a serious sign of disrespect. I believe the entire industry does as well. JMHO

I certainly don't recall any "cheerleading" wrt to 10 million on Q's part, but if you have a link.

I don't believe QCOM mgmt. "cheerleads", but I think these threads have a tendency to do so. Certainly the "10-million" figure had an ameliorative effect on the stock at the time of announcement.
