Smartypts: the donators made their checks out to Matthew Tyson, Esq. per instructions. They were to be aggregated and sent to MT organization with a matching amount added by Tony.

This law requires most charities operating in California to register with the Attorney General and file annual financial reports listing revenues and expenditures.

Well the Mother teresa organization doesn't operate in california, so that particular law doesn't seem to apply.

And the checks weren't made out to MT, they were made out to Anthony's business as I remember. (edit) Mary says they were made out to Matt, that is quite possible.
