Used to see some guys who would drive by the farm every weekend in a car with a sunroof. One of the guys would be standing up half out of the car so that he could control the plane that would be flying along ahead of them. Went on from early spring to late fall for a couple of years. Don't know what happened to them... maybe they got stopped for not wearing seatbelts one too many times...

Have seen quite a few cool things out over our farm over the years.

We're close to an airport that had an adjacent military airfield for many years. Used to have a guy who would come out and do stunt-flying in his biplane right over my fields 2 or 3 times a week for a few months.. Really good stuff... loop-the-loops, death spirals, roll-overs, etc.... He'd always give me a few tips of the wings whenever he saw me working out in the barnyard....and I'd pretty well always stop what I was doing and sit on the fence and watch his "show"... Think he might have been with the armed forces as he just disappeared all of a sudden around the same time that that some of the air base operations were shut down...

Kind of a drag.... Got used to having my own private air show that summer... (-:

>>They built model ships that "fire" CO2 powered ball bearings and stage battles.<<

Wow. That sounds cool. I'd like that.

Of course, I'd be the first human casualty.

Naval engagements scare the poop out of me.

Poop deck.
