neocon, they should not but everything is possible..I am putting my $$$$$$ on Bush. Did you see his photo with Dr. Kissinger and Colin Powell among others behind him?? Very rvealing..He will win, and remember the 0 year "curse" :-(

I wouldn't expect the Joint Chiefs to come out to a press conference with hands linked. But Bush could easily have a press conference with the pentagon in the background. He could then claim the chiefs were receptive to his ideas (unless of course they weren't, in which case it would leak out somehow). I think he didn't because he understands that the current secretary of defense has a better idea what the chiefs are thinking than does his advisors. TP
