It really doesn't matter that Nokia or anyone else "capitulate". What matters is the Q executing their business plan and they most certainly will. All that has to happen is to get their technology upgrades into the hands of the people. As it rolls out slowly at first it will become an avalanche sweeping away any company that tries to stand in the way. The marketplace will be unrelenting with those companies that find they can't compete any longer with those in Qs value chain.

Moving to this level will be a piece of cake for a company that had to start an infrastructure and a phone manufacturing business just to introduce the world to CDMA. Now many quality companies with visionary leaders throughout the world are poised to roll out the finest telecommunications system ever developed. The unparalleled wireless speed, security, and plethora of devices coming, (among other advantages) will spawn a host of applications that will change the way we all live. People want it, will have to have it. If only one service provider is in their respective country, that is enough. It's growth will be a beautiful thing to watch. Let the FUDsters delay, roll out the GPRS/EDGE, make continuous announcements of WCDMA trials, cut their IPR rates, whatever. If delay is their idiot strategy it will be their downfall. They will shortly see their need to capitulate but it wont make any difference to the Q. All our troubles will soon be over.
