Thread ---Good Morning ---Fud from CSFB ---Qualcomm (QCOM) 66 3/8 -10: CS First Boston believes China Unicom announcement that it will not deploy current generation CDMA technology could have negative implications for Qualcomm; views decision as material for QCOM and believes it could limit longer-term upside.

Question ---When did CSFB become the axe on the "Q" ? Most of the noise seems to be coming from CSFB and Lehman but no downgrades from either one yet ? Interesting

BEST WISHES
BILL

Q will rollout the technology as quickly as they can while making sure everything is in place to meet expectations. It will be fast especially compared to the alternative. Perceptions will change from what you describe. It is inevitable. The competition sees it coming and that is why they are in a FUD frenzy. What else can they do?

We are better off as long term investors if the price tracks earnings performance rather than news of "capitulations" and admissions that their technology is inferior. It is the truth of that inferiority that is really important not current perceptions. It is going to happen and we even know the schedule. The fun will be watching and participating in it.
