All the FUD is useless until contracts are signed who knows what is going on. The chinese could be hedging for PNTR or they could mean it. In either case the issue is irrelevent because WCDMA/CDMA2000 will be adopted in a year even if IS95 is passed over. NOBODY IS CONTESTING IF BUT ONLY WHEN. The stock volitility is pretty unbelievable.

Bill, this supposedly bad news is seen as good news by the market. i think this Chinese telco has now changed its mind four times over the last week. insofar anything emanating from there is basically useless...
