Ryobi experience... GOOD! A few months ago, I bought a 725R trimmer... ...didn't use it very much over 2 years... ...it finally ran out of trimmer line... ...I look in the manual to see which direction to turn the bumper knob to remove it... It said 'counterclockwise'... ...I turned it that direction... real hard... but I DID it! It never came off! I ended up stripping the threads and it wouldn't go anywhere. It was obvious that I went the wrong direction... I looked up a local service shop via the internet, took it to them, they cut the bumperknob off to find a nut just spinning around the shaft... They said it would cost about $67++ to fix it... I said NO! I feel it should be FREE... they said 'talk to the company'. I called the company... Talked to Stephanie... It was a great experience... I told her the story... It was OUT of WARRANTY... BUT... She asked me I wanted to go back to the same service shop... I said NO... She looked up another one for me, called them to make arrangements (I was on HOLD for a short time), and then gave me their name, address, phone#, & who to talk to. "Take it to them and they will take care of it." I asked about the cost... "It will be done with no cost to you." I was elated... I got fair treatment... When I told her that my manual said counterclockwise, she said that's strange... it's supposed to be clockwise! I told her that the refill spool instructions (made by them) also said counterclockwise... That was strange too. She said she would mail me a new manual (FREE)! I took the trimmer to the new shop... It was there about a week... Part was on back-order from the factory. I called Stephanie again to see if she could expdite it... She called the factory, checked inventory, etc. & told me that they had just shipped a supply of those parts to the factory & would be available real soon. Bottom line... Great courteous service above the call of duty! If I had not received that kind of service and had they not bent the rules of their warranty period, I would've been posting a completely different report. I am HAPPY and would buy another Ryobi product... ...without question! I'll have to look into that blower... ...I didn't know they SUCKED (vacum) as well... ...sounds good! Joe
