I think the patina on bronze is dark brown.

Brass takes on more of a yellowish green, if it's allowed past the doggy-poop brown stage. Copper and high-copper bronzes (old pennies are bronze, not pure copper) assume that slightly bluish verdigris color.

What work did you do on the Bicentennial locomotive? That was a big Southern Pacific engine, if I remember correctly.
