Thread, I need some printer help.

My uncle is in the market for a new inkjet printer. I told him to buy an Epson 870. He is an avid photographer who scans in his slides and prints a few out. Despite my best efforts, I haven't gotten him to try digital photography yet (he's 78 and doesn't change easily).

He went looking at a store and a salesman tried to sell him an Epson Stylus Color 860. I just looked at the description on Buy.com. Like the PhotoStylus 870 it does have 4 picoliter ink droplets. Is anyone familiar with this printer. Does anyone know any of any differences that are important? I think he'd rather save the $50 difference if there is little difference in the printers.

TIA

Jay
