Thats why friday is the day to make the bet if you want to play the news

There will be a lot of people on the sidelines looking for good employment figures before committing themselves. I would expect AMD shares to start their run-up tomorrow afternoon. Don't leave it too late.

In fact, unless the news is mind-bogglingly good we could well see a dip on Monday. Efficient market theory, sell on the news, whatever. Are your average investors going to recognise the significance of the TBird onboard cache and rush out to buy AMD shares?

I have as many June options as I am comfortable with at present. I may buy a few more June calls early and sell before the close rather than holding over the weekend.

Kash, Re..<<<Thats why friday is the day to make the bet if you want to play the news <<<<<<<

Thanks a lot Kash, now you tell me. I sold 4000 lsi this morning at 55 so I could buy 3000 more amd this morning at 83.5. I was feeling pretty smug when AMD hit 87. By 3;30 AMD dropped to 83 and Lsi had hit 58; and I was reamed a new *sshole. Bummer.
