make sure to read the description of each one, and keep in mind that everything you add to your computer has the potential to screw things up (worse than they already are) <g3>

there are a lot of suggested items that i totally pass on. be selective!

I found a few recently, too. One was an update for the sound
program. I took forever to download and after I got a startup freeze that could not be fixed by me. Even the Norton rescue diskettes did not help. So I reinstalled all from the rescue CD.

I learned not to download 'improvements' if my programs work. Exception is Windows critical updates.
