Why the heck not? Come on. They illegally emigrated from Cuba didn't they? Doesn't that mean they broke Cuban laws? You would think it reasonable then that the Cuban Government should accommodate these law breakers? I mean really. That is their problem. They did leave voluntarily didn't they? I think they should be willing to pay the consequences for their actions.

Sure it stinks for the kids. But that was a choice their parents made. I think it is unreasonable that Cuba should feel obliged to make good. It would be magnanimous if they did. But I would not require it of them or expect it. If their parents want their children so badly, then they can just go back and pay the consequences. Otherwise there's the phone or letters.

You are sounding like a bleeding heart conservative.
