Are you house hunting now? Did you see those properties? How do you know that they are decent? We know JS about many things, it wouldn't be surprising to know that you know JS about housing also. I betcha - you never bought a house to know what it really takes to buy one. FYI, buyers look for a lot more that just the price and each buyer has his/her own definition of a "decent house." No offense, but the world doesn't accept your definition of decent, much less my friends. Why are you not living in Brookline not in Roxbury? One more thing. I am sure one can find even cheaper "decent homes" in Roxbury! You want to buy one? BTW, it is really futile for you to try to base your case on your personal experiences, some personal stories - those things will work when you make proper "connection" with folks. If not, they will mean absolutely nothing. The point being, you are telling the gang here how humble your expectations are as you grew up in a 900 sf apartment in one of the World's crummiest cities. Who tf cares? If you really have humble expectations, how come you are in the USA, not in Calcutta in another 900 sf flat? Mugging - Calcutta style: A man is walking on the street in Calcutta. He was stopped at a knife point. "Comrade, give me you wallet!" The guy gives. The guys takes only 50 bucks from the purse and hands it over to the poor guy. The guy was shocked as the robber didn't take all the money he had. Perplexed, he asked, "how come you only took 50 bucks when you could have had all 500 bucks I have in my purse?" "I believe in socialism. I needed only 50 bucks and that's all I will take. And you don't need that 50 bucks." "Why do you think that I don't need the 50 bucks you took?" "Get tf out of my face. I needed 50 bucks and I got it. OK? Now if you stay here for another minute, I will kill you.."
