Yes, but how to turn of AV?

checking now... k, disable button.. that was easy

another problem I have had recently with norton is when I run system check and it wants to update rescue disk. I put rescue disk in and it says it cannot read it. I have the disk unlocked (not protected) so that is not the problem. I have let this problem go for a while and it should have raised a red flag first time it occured. I will work on it once I feel the shut down problem is conquered and I can leave AV on machine.
