Hi guys -- Here is a REPOST of my last email communication with Mr. Joby Humphrey, Manager of External Communication for Texaco. Please decide for yourselves if you think Texaco will be on board........................

Mr. Humphrey's answer below is to my question about the announcement happening on May 25, Missing Child Day.
__________________________________________________________

xxxxx,
We're making another announcement at the time we make the software announcement so we had to move the date to June. Looks like we'll announce June 8, 9 or 10. The software will be in all company-owned Texaco stations this summer (no exact date yet) and at all stations owned by independent businesspeople who choose to participate in the giveaway. Texaco Xpress Lubes will also give the software away. There are about 14,000 Texaco stations and 850 Xpress Lubes nationwide.

We're still ironing out the details, but I can tell you that the initial disk will be available to the public for free. It will
* Prevent unauthorized access to the family computer;
* Block access to adult content Web sites on the Internet;
* Remove Web sites according to their specific values;
* Create different profiles for each family member, setting access
levels and timeframes when computer usage is allowed;
* Allow children access to specific files, while preventing their
access to sensitive documents;
* Review the files, software programs and Web sites accessed by family members;
* Prevent another user from "masquerading" as the logged on user if the computer wasn't shut down.

If a family wants to receive regularly updated disks that will block the new adult content Web sites that appear on the Net weekly, they can sign a contract w/ Pacel (software developer) for about $5 a month. Families who don't want to sign a contract will keep the original disk as our gift and can continue to use it as explained in the bullet points.

I'm sorry that I am unable to tell you anything else at this point.
