Institutional ownership CDTS...

Institutional ownership of CTS has now increased to 57%... three quarters ago of Institutional ownership was listed at 9.4%.

If you read the links off of this post, you can find three articles about CDTS that explain their views of the future, and the need for their technology with the growth in wireless use.

They(CDTS) show no promise for the future and they have no sales to date.

I would say that your first premise is debatable and your second is wrong.

Before I would worry about SCON's competition I would worry about the SC filter market in general. If the market ever does develop (and I'm not talking about paying people to cart away the systems) both SCON and CDTS will not be worried about each other for a while.
