Jim, keep an eye on the US dollar, which is weakening, and the XAU, which is getting a pop today. It works the other way too.

William:

A weaker dollar should be good for our exports... It should not hurt foreign investment in the U.S. much because most of that investment is based on the safety of investing here vs other countries... As for the XAU I wouldn't get excited until it crosses long term resistance in the 72.00 area... Inflation is still very tame...

Quite a move for the week for the NDX... We should see a test of the 4100 to 4200 area soon...

The subtle but important change in the Nasdaq New Highs/New Lows relationship finance.yahoo.com says the selling is drying up, and money is coming back into the market... Unless support is broken I'm going to remain long for the time being...
