Is webramp just another name for shotgun modem ( two modems, two ISP's) or are they differant products that serve differant functions? Any thoughts on which one is better and why ?

regards,
Knyyt

>It makes a lot more sense for all of us to try to find an ISP that works well with thiers than the other way around, doesnt it?

Eric, I am not understanding your logic in what MY ISP has to do with streaming data FROM CYBER TO ME.

My ISP is only in the loop when UUNET hands the data off to them and they, in turn, pass it to me.

>However I must say that something serious is afoot. I've had more problems losing connection to Cyber in the last couple of weeks than in the previous year. Clearly something is wrong that they cannot just push back on our ISP.

Agree - and WHERE IS CYBER TO SPEAK OF THESE PROBLEMS?

>Since you dont have a high-speed link you should look into getting two(or three) phone lines, two modems, two isp's and a webramp. webramp.com

The best I can get here is a dualline, 128K ISDN - which is what I have at present.

Do any of you have any experience with sat. feed or know if Cyber can supply it?
