Michael,
Just wanted you to know, I am NOT going to the picnic at Tropical Park. I just posted it for anyone who might be interested.
I thought you might be interested in this!!!!
Morales will never be sent back and that is what they counted on. There will be an agent ready to sign him up as they have done in the past.

MIAMI, Fla., Jun. 5 - A Cuban baseball player who was intercepted at sea by the Coast Guard may not be able to seek asylum in the United States. That?s because he never made it to U.S. soil.

24-year-old Andy Morales is being interviewed by the INS aboard a Coast Guard Cutter off of Key West.
He and five others left Cuba Tuesday night and were rescued by a fisherman Friday night in international waters off the coast of the Bahamas after their raft began to sink. Before reaching the shore, the Border Patrol interceded and took the Cubans into custody. They then handed them over to the Coast Guard.
Morales? father-in-law, Carlos Castillo, lives in South Florida and he?s deeply concerned that Morales will be repatriated to Cuba.
He said, ?I need someone who is listening to this interview to help him. He is well known, and if he is sent back to Cuba, he will be in big trouble.?
Castillo said he has spoken to his daughter in Cuba. According to Castillo, she says her husband?s attempt to defect is known throughout the island.
Morales is a member of the Cuban National Baseball Team and plays third base. He hit the game winning homerun against the Baltimore Orioles when they played in Baltimore earlier this year.
