Re: Thunderbird benchmarks

Nothing to worry about here...

anandtech.com

The following excerpts are presented in tribute to BILOW.

"If you were expecting the Thunderbird to completely wipe away the competition then you're most likely going to be dissappointed by its performance."

"Unfortunately there is not much hope in the near future for the Thunderbird chipset situation."

"if you're currently an Athlon owner wait for the AMD 760 chipset before upgrading, it's not worth it right now."

"If you're borderline between purchasing an Athlon or a Pentium III, the latter will only hold a major performance advantage if you're going to be running on an overclocked BX platform. Otherwise the decision is pretty much a toss up and one that only you can make for yourself. "

Pat> It certainly convinced me that he was a complete amateur??

The value to Bilow's posts are not about trading.

His posts provide a very solid counter-balance to the long-running "drip-drip-drip", Rambus Xmas, "I will never Sell Rambus again" B.S. that was so prevalent for so long on this thread.

Whether he is right or wrong, his thoughts are welcome. I just wish they weren't so dam long..

Carl, try to be a little less long-winded...

Don
