You didn't answer my question. Do you know what the problems are?

Perhaps you do not realise that operating at higher frequencies does not necessarily make it harder to meet specs. Rambus operates in a constant impedance environment, while DDR and SDRAM do not and can not (if variable numbers of DIMMs are to be used). This means that there are much worse reflections in a DDR or SDRAM system than in a Rambus system.
