rudedog - you're making me crazy. We're talking about Sun's *brand. You can do whatever you want with Java. You have the free code. You have the free IDE. Look at what you're additionally asking for - Sun Certification. You want to use Sun's brand. --- It seems to me that whatever Sun is doing, they've in the process, created a brand *you WANT! --- If somebody wants to make a DIFFERENT brand that is "Java Compatible". well that's okay. --- What *YOU* want though is Sun's "Java" brand value add on your product. --- You're wanting it at the same time you're saying it's defective. --- You know? :) -JCJ

I suggest as a test that you do something Microsoft "doesn't like," slap the Windows logo on it, and see whether you get sued.
