You don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you ask Sun if your post could stand as their official policy. I'm sure a lot of standards groups would be just fine with it. Instead Sun leads them on with this kind of BS, but when it comes down to the details, in twist the screws.

Maybe you should open your mind a millimeter or so, or have they programmed you to fear that doing so could invite a "borg" intrusion?

JC - reading your posts, it's hard to believe you have followed the course of the community of people interested in JAVA over the last 6 months. I guess all of those people, like me, are just misinformed. Or maybe I should quit talking about JAVA since this seems to be a branding issue - what should I call it then? What is the independent technology base that does not depend on SUNW's branding?
