Re: The arrival of large volumes of copper parts from Dresden is anything but disappointing.

Scumbria,

We agree on something finally. Volume production from Dresdan is far more important than one-upping Intel with a 1.1 Ghz if it's not ready. The 750 Mhz has a selling price of $319, and it's only up from there. I don't think anyone realizes how much this will add to AMD's bottom line.

I sold my calls this morning just off the peak, but I might buy some back after the FUDsters (like you and Paul) help bring the stock down a little.

You think we're that influencial?? haha

I'm glad you had the good sense to take the money and run. As for FUDsters, I am flattered that you think I or Paul have the power to move markets. The only time I've been able to do that is when I write options on thinly traded stocks. I can move the bid price.

As for Dresden, I think it is quite a disappointment to see that T-Bird plus copper offers very little advantage over Athlon and Al. Bigger die and no significant performance improvement or frequency jump. :-( All these years in development for what?
