Without an MTH, Timna makes no financial sense. DRDRAM is much too expensive for an entry level box.

Hopefully, RDRAM price will go down over the next 7 months, while memory makers ramp-up RDRAM for 820,840, & Tehama, so that RDRAM will be available and at a low enough price for Timna to go direct to RDRAM (without any performance hit of an MTH) in 2001, to enable Timna to compete on performance & price with a Sony PS2.
