We're talking apples and oranges here.

Ok, I guess I'm a just a little touchy about congestion being blamed on the local loop (ie: the misinformation the DSL providers are spewing out). My local loop is almost empty (last time I checked) and yet I have all kinds of problems that are obviously specific to the site that I'm trying to access or to net congestion in general.

Frequently I have several browser windows open with streaming video or audio in one and RB, Yahoo, SI in the others. If you have a huge difference how each is responding you have to assume it is a problem further out there in the "cloud" then in the neighborhood.

The Net is a shared resource and sometimes a really fast on ramp just gets you to the traffic jam faster.

Go2net's servers are with INAP. Once all (especially IQC) arrived in Seattle, SI became much, much faster.
