O/T Not true...(The short term top is in)

This tread is very bearish on everything.Everything I have read about TA says that you have to be completely neutral to be able to read charts for what they are.

Never fails, as soon as the bear bashers show up with off topic posts expect the market to turn down, at least temporarily<ggg>

With all due respect, I spend an awful lot of time reading the contributions here, and this is one of the most realistic places you will find on SI. If you take some time and talk to some of the most experienced traders on SI, they will come right out and tell you that Technical analysis has been useless to a large extent in this manic market of late. If you don't believe me, go over to the P & F thread and ask them yourself... that's one of the most technical ( and capable) bunch of traders you will find and they were at a total loss in the last downturn based solely on T/A.

Furthermore, to ignore the fact that the markets are increasingly played based on a technical basis is really closed minded... as more people rely on technical chart reads, they will be more open to a certain extent to manipulation from the professionals who control supply.

LG has said many times... think like a criminal...and keep an open mind. Read up on a little Richard Ney, or anyone from that genre, for that matter. Manipulation is now and always has been a part of the markets. Probably very foolish to ignore the possibility.

I agree, stay neutral and read the charts... Like the VIX, 10 DAY NAZ and NYSE TRIN, RYDEX, etc. <GGG>

There's alot of great posts here that reflect both sides of the market, you just have to read them all<g> To say that this thread is bearish on everything all the time except for gov't conspiracies is just plain untrue, and patently unfair.

Regards,

John M
