Yep. GG and the cult built around him are just another testament to the "This Time It's Different" mentaility. To them, there was no technology of any use prior to the onset of the computer age. What rubbish! I contend that the telephone and the automobile were MUCH greater productivity enhancers incrementally than the computer and the net are. That he would contend they aren't is important in its own way as a key manifestation of the mania. I'm sure the historians will grant it a footnote or two after this is done.
