<<...think of the glories that she missed as well.>> Exactly, most of us feel that she missed out and we feel bad about it. Her makeup, however, caused her to be aloof to the whole thing and she saw our feelings about her situation in life as oddly misplaced. She had plenty of things to struggle with, as we all do; sexuality wasn't one of them. She seemed quite confident, where as, I would have guessed (had I not known her) that she would be disturbed by her uniqueness. Good parenting, loving family, and kind friends in a small town atmosphere may have had something to do with it.
