That is so right. When my children were young, the thing I emphasized the most to them was the importance of truthfulness, for the very reason you stated. Sadly, especially in my son's industry the working world seems to be rife with liars and thieves, and it makes one question if "nice guys" lose a competitive edge because of it.

I remember a quotation, but unfortunately, not the reference...
