Matt,

>1) How can I find out if my locality supports the wireless internet technology of the Palm 7? (Fayetteville, NC 28314)

According to Palm.net your coverage is 'Excellent' Check out palm.net

>2) If I download a browser for the Palm, can I view regular websites, or am I limited to the small sampling of "web clippings"?

Yes. But a lot of sites look butt-ugly and are hard to use. A web clipping app is (supposed) to be designed with the limitation of the PDA's display in mind.

>3) No clue.

I have heard some cool things about the Omnisky which works with (at least) Palm Vx.
I would look long and hard at the other specifics of the devices your interested in.
For example, the Palm Vx is sleek and has more memory, but doesn't have the modem built in.
