<<<<Or are we simply less willing to get bogged down in stifling govt tax burdens and red tape, and issues like social status, "equity" and "entitlement" and male chauvinism?

don't get me started. you've got social problems galore (not that we haven't started down that road here too). don't you have the or one of the highest incarceration rates ? and didn't Jesse Jackson once say jail is a step up for many ? i hear that living in the american ghettoes is now WORSE than living in a third world country. and didn't Japan rise from the ashes of ww2 to become a major economic force and take away from you the electronics industry lock stock and barrel ?

but yeah i guess like archie bunker once said, 'america has the grossest national product'
